Győr, A vaskakas. Midőn 1594-ben a törökök árulás folytán Győr birtokába jutottak és a keresztények 1597-ben Miska főherceg vezérlete alatt több heti ostrom után sem bírták azt visszafoglalni, a pasa nagyon elbízta magát és azt mondotta, hogy Győr akkor jut újra a keresztények birtokába, ha a Duna-, vagyis Vízi-kapura rakott mulatóhely fölött álló dísztorony vaskakasa megszólal... A befolyó jövedelem a Győrött felállítandó Pálffy és Schwarzenberg-szobor javára lesz fordítva (EB)
