1894 A régebbi S.M.S. Zrínyi hajó Brazíliai útján készült fénykép Rio de Janierio mellett az Ilha Grande szigeten. A Zrínyi ekkor két dokkmunkások sztrájkja miatt veszteglő osztrák kávékereskedő hajó rakományának biztosítására érkezett a brazil vizekre, mert a hajók rakományát a nemrég kikiáltott brazil köztársaság ellen tiltakozók hada fenyegette. A hajó friss víz vételezésére ált meg a hírhedt Ilha Grande szigeten ahol lepratelep és börtön is üzemelt. / 1893 The officer in command, Fregattenkapitän Johann Holeczek (in the captain's chair) and large group of officers enjoy a break on deck under the sails in the harbor of Ilha Grande, off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as noted on the back. In 1893, during a cruise to South and West Africa and South America, S.M.S. Zrínyi was sent to Rio de Janeiro, where two Austrian Lloyd and one Adria Line steamers were stranded by a dockworkers' strike amd threatened by civil unrest against the recently (1889) proclaimed Brazilian republic. Both companies had arranged to share the lucrative Brazilian coffee trade and stood to incur major losses if their valuable cargoes were destroyed. Shore parties from S.M.S. Zrínyi helped load the steamers and stood watch until they sailed. The photograph had to have been taken between February 17 and February 20, 1894, while S.M.S. Zrínyi was in Ilha Grande for desalinization (sea water is desalinated to produce water suitable for human consumption. on cartboard 17x12 cm, 24x20 cm
